Oh and ironically enough the gentleman that came in after us happened to be from Guelph Ontario! I got my lip piercing from Guelph when I was in grade 8!
The woman taking our order was very nice and was very efficient. The iced coffee is the best iced coffee I have ever had and it comes with different flavor options. Even better it has free refills! Had a wonderful atmosphere with many power outlets and some soft seating by a fake fireplace.
I was born in Milton Ontario and have been living in the US since 2000. The last visit I made to Canada was several years ago and I always crave and miss Tim Hortons when I am not in Canada. Until recently the closest one to us was around 5-8 hours away in Indiana. A short time ago my fiance checked again and found out there are several in the St. Louis, Missouri area. We immediately made plans, picked one, and set out for a day trip. When we arrived we were greeted by 2 extra friendly staff members who gave us 2 free maple timbits since I am a Canadian implant and because of how far we drove! Coffee and cappuccino was delicious, I couldn't stop eating the timbits, Boston creme donut was delicious and I have a chocolate chip muffin waiting for me. Great experience!! I will be back!!
They seem to be ok with customer service. The donuts tasted pretty good, a little better than Dunkin donuts. The wifi is good.
Part of my hot coffee made a big spill because a tall two person table broke. It was beyond uneven table legs. I told a worker and she stared at me. She never spoke and not one employee seem to care that I was making trips to the napkins to clean up the mess. Rudeness has been a regular employee characteristic particularly in drive through. The edges of the cheese on my sandwich was very dried out which has happened before but today worse than ever and the coffee was over cooked, not the norm in this case. I'd like Horton's to succeed, we gave them ample chances but if there is no quality control I'm not sure how with tough competition everywhere that they're going to. The bathrooms and dining area were clean something you never see at a McDonalds. And when my husband suggested that they could cook an egg for his sandwich in response to the employee saying they were out of cooked eggs, they did figure out how to do that in a reasonable amount of time. We have been big fans in the beginning but have seen the establishment steadily go downhill from the day they opened. At this point we're not going back. We'd rather have a Starbucks near by.
I had never even heard of Tim Horton's, and I stopped by on my way to work one morning just to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised by how good my breakfast sandwich was and how quick the service was. I definitely recommend coming here for a quick breakfast!
